AB 311 (Santiago) "Food4All" will expand access to CalFresh to income-eligible California immigrants, regardless of age or immigration status. Last year, funding was included in the 2022-23 State Budget to end the exclusion of income-eligible immigrants ages 55 and older from accessing food benefits due to their immigration status. While this investment is an important step, California immigrants ages 0-54 will continue to be excluded from food benefits because of their immigration status.
